Alpha-Amylase, Artisan

Alpha Amylase used in conjunction with the Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS) Stain Kit is used to identify glycogen. In combination with Alcian Blue/Periodic Acid-Schiff Stain Kit, it is intended for use to qualitatively identify acidic and neutral mucins. Duplicate sections are stained with or without alpha amylase, a glycogen-digesting enzyme.
