Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (Dako Omnis)

Herpes simplex virus (HSV) belongs to the Herpesviridae family of viruses. HSV infects cells of the mucoepithelia or the skin. The antibody reacts with type-specific, i.e. HSV-1, as well as with type-common, i.e. also with HSV-2 antigens.
