PL-SAX strong anion-exchange resin is extremely hydrophilic and designed for purification of biomolecules. PL-SAX columns and media are ideal for anion-exchange separations of proteins and synthetic oligonucleotides under native or denaturing conditions. The PL-SAX material has a polymeric base particle and is chemically and thermally stable over a full range of HPLC conditions. The strong anion-exchange functionalities, covalently linked to a chemically stable polymer, facilitate anion-exchange purifications over a wide pH range and the anion exchange capacity is independent of pH. This stability can be exploited for column sanitation and clean-up, and also enables the use of denaturing conditions and stabilizing/solubilizing agents, as encountered in the purification of synthetic oligonucleotides with self-complementary sequences.
