XTerra Prep columns bring the benefits of Hybrid Particle Technology to isolation and purification applications in discovery and development laboratories. XTerra Prep RP columns combine our patented Hybrid Particle Technology, with new particles engineered specifically for prep, and our patented embedded polar group reversed-phase ligand. Hybrid Particle Technology allows you to routinely operate at pH 2-12 so you can load up to 60X more onto the column. More capacity results in fewer injections for the same amount of pure material or more material with the same number of injections. In the discovery world, this greater capacity means you can use a shorter column, producing the same amount of material in half the time. The embedded polar group ligand of XTerra Prep RP columns delivers the sharpest peak shapes and offers different selectivity than the MS version of XTerra Prep columns.
